I lost weight and feel good too

I find that most books that talk about weight loss go out of their way to make me feel bad about how I approach my lifestyle or diet. This book makes you feel good. It reminded me that we are human and that you can still "live" and be healthy. The book has a terrific and easy to follow format. It explains the rationale behind each recommendation without being too technical and it provides easy to follow guides and examples that you can implement into the real world. Its a solid book and I recommend it.

A fantastic guide, containing everything you need to know about leading a healthy lifestyle. It gets to the very bottom of the problem we have with obesity (amongst other things) in our modern society. In order to live a healthy life, you must nurture not only your body but your mind as well. When you do this, everything becomes easier to achieve. It is not merely a "lose weight fast with this great new diet" kind of book. It explains age-old techniques of improving our lives in general, both physically and mentally, so that all aspects of your life will naturally come together in a complete package of success, fulfilment and happiness, including, of course, your weight. There is an example of a "daily plan", detailing all the things one should do throughout the day in order to enhance their energy and general health.

Full of general advice (tips for daily exercise and foods to avoid or consume), it is also very detailed, explaining what steps to take to improve a specific area of your body, for example detoxing your liver. All these specific improvements come together as an overall effective weight loss plan that will achieve big results - the natural way, as it should be! In addition, it contains illustrations of the human body, with diagrams showing how to perform various physical exercises that will be beneficial to your health, and links to videos that will instruct you on the correct technique. It also enlightens us with certain truths that we may not be aware of.

Make no mistake, this is far more than just a "weight-loss" book. It is a complete guide to enjoying a healthy existence, in mind and body. You've got to start at the beginning! It merely describes the attitudes and practices that all human beings should observe. If we all did, the world would be a better place, and obesity (for one thing) would cease to exist! It makes perfect sense. I can assure you, if you actively followed the advice in this book, you would never need to buy another book on weight loss, for a start - ever! Highly recommended.

Great "feel good" book about diet and weight loss.

It seems that everyone is talking about weight loss and fitness these days. We, as Americans, are finally realizing what we've done to our bodies with fast food and office jobs. This book is a very detailed explanation of not only weight loss, but detoxification as well. A lot of people don't realize that to truly achieve weight loss, you have to take steps to detox your body and get all of the bad stuff out so the good stuff can thrive.

The "con" I wish this book were longer. It's full of great information that I would have loved to have seen expanded upon. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5!

I recommend this book for anyone looking for real, down-to-earth information about weight loss - and how to achieve it the right way. Toss fad diets out the window, and take care of you.
