Someone wrote a review that the love scenes were too explicit and that had me laughing out loud! I think this book has some of the most tame love scenes I've read in a looong time! That includes non-romance. Poor Cara's had it rough, she deserves some extra explicit loving!
This is a feel good book on a lazy Sunday afternoon type read. The corny girly girl inside of me enjoyed it and is looking forward to the next in the series.

She wanted to be stubborn. For a second she imagined throwing her wine in his face and telling him to get lost. But a stronger desire quickly took over. One that made her forget her desperate urge to resist him. With her eyes firmly set on his, she brought the glass to her lips and tipped the bottom of it to the ceiling.
"More?" he asked.
Her voice was weak. "Yes."
Victor poured more wine for her.
Cara drank the contents in one swallow.
He smiled. "Another?"
"No." She plunked the goblet down.
"Good." Victor put his hand under her chin and tilted her face up to his. "If you make me wait any longer I think I may have to fire you."
And then he bent down and covered her mouth with his. His tongue quickly parted her lips and slipped in between. She melted into his arms, unable to control her reaction. His hands went to her hair, his fingers trailing through her soft tendrils until he felt the weight of her breasts against him. He instantly pulled her closer and kissed her harder. His hands slid down her back to lift up her blouse.
She shuddered when she felt the tips of his fingers digging against her body shaper like he wanted to tear it off. But she was too mesmerized by his kiss to be embarrassed. If he was put off by the extra weight she carried, he didn't show it. His urgent tongue fiercely licked the inside of her lips as his hands worked even lower, slipping under her waistband to the fleshy rise of her backside.
Damn it, Cara thought. If I'd known he wanted me like this I wouldn't have worn my shaper.

SWEET ROMANCE :)

Meet Victor Barboza--young billionaire. Meet Cara Green--young, single mom to Isaac--a cute, spunky 3 year old. Cara works 3 jobs including working for a catering company. While on a catering job she meets Victor. Victor is instantly attracted to Cara. Cara is down on her luck and her young son is need of surgery. Victor can sense that something is wrong with Cara and questions her. Cara explains to Victor about Isaac and the need for this surgery, this information pulls at Victor's heart. Victor can't get Cara out of his mind. He must see her, again. He pulls out all of the stops to see her and keep her in his life, including little Isaac, who calls Victor "Big Toe".
Follow this sweet, romance story as Victor and Cara embark on finding true love with some steamy sex. Will they find true love or will Victor's wealth scare poor Cara away? I love when an author writes a story and adds a precocious child in the mix. There is nothing sweeter then having a little "person" in a story.
This is the first book in the Barboza Brothers series and I can't wait to read the next book.

HURRY WITH 2ND BOOK

I got this book free and didn't really know what to expect. I was quite pleasantly surprised. Loved the book and the characters. Can hardly wait for book 2 and 3. Cara and "BigToe" were realistic and even tho Isaac wasn't in it much I fell in love with him. Go ahead one-click it and enjoy.

If you think controlling and bullying is romantic, this is the book for you! **SPOILERS**

I hated this book. Everyone in Cara's life makes decisions for her and arranges events so what they feel is best for her will happen. Even if it is exactly against her wishes. And she is constantly self-doubting and letting this controlling behavior continue. I knew by Chapter 3 that it wasn't my idea of romance. Kept reading because I'm stubborn. It only got more ironic.

They commiserate over how his ex won't take no for an answer and is having her followed. Yet he's a stalker who actually says things like "I'm doing whatever I can to keep you from getting away....I will find a way to make you mine." And, after he explains how he has arranged her entire life (housing, child care, employer): It's what is best for everyone involved and he'll take care of all the arrangements. "That's all you need to know." My favorite though is when he follows her halfway across the country, forces himself into her room, starts undressing her while she protests then listens to her explain about a controlling, abusive ex boyfriend she had and how that was such a life lesson--while they are in bed and he's explaining how he has arranged her entire life!!! How romantic!
