Informative monograph

It should be made clear that this is not a book length treatment, but a chapter/ magazine article size presentation- only 18 pages. Something to consider before laying out boo length money to buy it. But very informative for what it is: how the Howe's set the course for the war in the beginning.

Bad title

I actually enjoyed it, but two stars off for mistitling. It's really a story of the Howe brothers, whose lack of enthusiasm for suppressing the Rebellion in the early years lost the British several opportunities to end the war early and turn America into a directly-managed colony with no rights at all. That's a fascinating story, but there were many other ways the British lost their American colonies.

It was very interesting. As follower of American history I was not aware of a lot of the inforation in the book. I wiould recommend it to anyone studing the Revolutionary war.
